Brief Bio: A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Sarah holds a B.S. in
Mathematics.Sarah will graduate in May of 2009 with a Master of Teaching in
Secondary Mathematics from USC and begin teaching AP Statistics among other courses
at Brookland Cayce High School in the fall. Other interests include hiking, kayaking,
and painting.

This journal is published three times a year by the American Statistical Assoc. and NCTM.
The journal is designed to provide curriculum support and increase communication among teachers of statistics.


Math World: Statistics
Math World is a great resource for all areas of mathematics.
The site contains several resources for Probability and Statistics, compiled in an encyclopedia-like fashion.


Do Stat
Do Stat is an excellent FREE resource for teachers! Teachers can compile problem sets, assign homework, and
track student progress through the Do Stat site.


Exploring Data
This site contains tons of support materials, including activities, tutorial, and worksheets for statistics teachers.


Rice Virtual Stat Lab
The Rice Virtual Lab contains several tools for statistics instruction,
including applets, simulations, case studies, and interactive lessons.


Stat Crunch
This site is a great source for data sets and analysis tools.
Data sets are free, but the data analysis tools are for subscription use only.


Learning Math: Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability
Learning Math provides an organized list of lessons with interactive plugins.
These lessons are great for independent instruction and additional practice!


AP Statistics Tests and Practice

Certainly one of the best math resource sites available, MathWorld provides a wealth of mathematics
knowledge. It is like the wikipedia of math! The MathWorld Classroom section of the site is
particularly useful, as well as the Interactive Entries.


USC Math Contest Problems and Solutions
The USC Math Contest problems make great problems of the day to challenge your students!
These work particularly well with Honors level students that have had Geometry and Algebra I
and/or Algebra II.


NCTM: Illuminations Lessons
The National Council for Teachers of Mathematics hosts several "Illuminations" lessons on this site,
designed to incorporate the NCTM standards into your classroom.


Texas Instruments Activities Exchange
The TI Activities Exchange is a great resource for technology activities to accompany your lessons.
