The Internet resource that I found most valuable to my theme was created by the Idaho State University. This website provides a complete primer on the Oregon Trail, a section on the historic sites along the trail, and a variety of trail books and documents etc. which can be purchased for use in the classroom. What's more, there is a great section entitled "Fantastic Facts about the Oregon Trail" and a full text archive of Trail diaries and books.
