Currently, I am the Web Coordinator for the USC TRIO Programs and plan to complete my M.Ed in Educational Technology at USC. This web site was constructed to fulfill a requirement for my EDTE 731 class - Integrating Technology into Classroom Instruction.

The TRIO Programs assist low-income, first-generation college students in pursuing their post-secondary degree. We provide a variety of services including cultural activities, financial aid advisement, referrals to community agencies, and assistance with the college application process. One of our largest services is career advisement/planning. For this reason, I have chosen The Career Planning Process as the focus of my portfolio. This site includes:

• Portfolio Theme - description of career planning and how it relates to instructional technology

• Multimedia Presentation - description and link to a PowerPoint lesson about career advisement

• Software Evaluation - review of an interactive typing software targeted at ages 9 & above

• Internet Resource - critique of the Occupational Outlook Handbook 2002-2003 edition
