These are some resources that I found to assist me in the teaching of a unit on animals. There are good sites.
The first site that I found was the National Zoo This site is teriffic! It not only has a wide variety of information about animals, it also has educational games that the students could use to reinforce things that they learn in the science lab. The pictures are also very good.
Another site that I found was the Seaworld Animal Database This is another fabulous website that offers a variety of information about many animals. You can also find books that are good to use in the study of specific animals. There are also teacher guides with entire units of study listed as well as activities and even vocabulary for those units. This site has great visuals as well.
I hope that you will find these websites to be helpful. I have found quite a few others, but these were the best and had quite a bit of helpful information on them as well.
