Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, I recieved a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Psychology at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.
Two years ago, I moved to Columbia, SC where I am completing the M.A.T program at theUniversity of South Carolina. I will be graduating May 2008, certified to teach Secondary Mathematics and look forward to my first year of teaching!
Welcome!!! This is where I am going to keep all of my resources that will be helpful for students, teachers and parents.
Resources for Students
- Resource One: Chameleon Graphing is a fun way for students to get extra help with graphing points and lines, visualizing slope and investigating the history of the coordinate plane.
- Resource Two: WebMath is helpful for students in all grades taking any math. It allows you to select the topic, enter in the problem, and then it gives step-by-step explanations of how the solution is derived.
Resources for Parents
- Resource One: This resource will answer parent's questions on why their child will want and need a graphing calculator for their mathematics courses.
Math is FUN!
- Resource One: This is a fun resourse that has 28 "Did you know that..." mathematical facts. Each fact has links to define the mathematical terms used in the fact. They are very interesting!
- Resource Two: This resouse will tell you what mathematicians were born or died on the exact date that you visit the webpage. You can click on the mathematicians name and it will provide a picture and more detailed information about the mathematician's life and work.
- Recource Three: Scholastic is a great resouce for teachers, students and parents to find math texts and activites that relate to what you are learning in the classroom. The webpage also posts the monthly journal that has fun math activities for students involving current movie characters and singers.
- Resource Four: This webpage is great for teachers who want to make reviewing a concept or unit FUN for the class. It provides you with the template to numerous game shows, where all you need to do is fill in the template with your material. It even provides the theme songs!
