I am planning to use "Weather" as the theme for my portfolio. his is a broad topic that covers many things we do in the fifth grade at Leaphart Elementary school. In reading, we read a novel called Night of the Twisters, a fictional story about a boy who experiences the destruction of a tornado in his small Nebraska town.
In a related lesson, my students also write stories about what it might be like to be affected by some type of severe weather storm. I plan to use Science Court Software during a science lesson to present information about the water cycle to my students
