Internet Resource
My Internet resource was TheState.com. TheState.com is a great resource for a number of reasons. The first reason that TheState.com is a great resource is that teachers can use it to teach students about every aspect of how to, and how not to, run a city. Another reason that TheState.com is a great resource is that it shows both students and teachers how other cities are managed. Another reason that TheState.com is a great resource is that teachers can connect to both other newspaper sites and web resources. Another reason that The State.com is a great resource is that teachers can use TheState.com to teach a number of various subjects byond my theme of "Science, Technology, and Society."
There are numerous reasons that TheState.com is not a good resource. The first reason that TheState.com is not a good resource is that the TheState.com web site is sometimes offline. Another reason that TheState.com is not a good resource is that some of the links on TheState.com may be "dead" links. Another reason that TheState.com is not a good resource is that your school may not have enough computers for each student to have a computer, which would limit my ability, as a teacher, to teach this lesson. Another reason that TheState.com is not a good resource is that, if I try to assign homework from TheState.com, some of my students may not have Internet access.
Despite the drawbacks that I face using TheState.com, I would still recommend it because the positives of using TheState.com outweigh the negatives of using TheState.com. I would, however, recommend that teachers prepare their lesson as if they will not have a computer for each student. I would also recommend that teachers assign homework from The State.com only if they are planning on providing the students with time to work on the homework during the assigned class time.
