Ulanda P. James, M.Ed. is a Clinical Instructor in the Early Childhood Education program. Ms. James has worked as a first and second grade teacher and as an Early Literacy Coach with the SC READS Initiative. In the capacity of Literacy Coach, Ms. James has worked closely with classroom teachers and administrators providing classroom demonstrations, professional development sessions and facilitating yearlong after school professional study groups.
Currently, Ms. James is coaching/supervising undergraduate Early Childhood Education majors completing Internship II, which enables her to continuing coaching and supporting aspiring educators. Ms. James is also teaching EDRD 345 Language and Literacy in Early Childhood Education I and EDEC 591 Seminar: Teaching in Early Childhood.
