Goal II: Student Recruitment, Advisement, and Support on 2 and 4- year campus sites Goal III: Development of Clinical Sites for experiences offered to 2-year College students. Goal IV: Program to support beginning teachers during their Induction Years A Professional Learning Community will support students progressing from pre-college recruitment, to their initial entry into 2-year colleges, through the completion of certification requirements, and into their induction into the teaching profession. |

Jane
Zenger is married to Stephen Zenger, a science teacher at AC
Flora High School in Columbia, South Carolina. She has two children,
Kathryn and Jay. Jane began her teaching career in rural South Carolina
as a Title I elementary reading teacher and has since taught in middle school
and high school. In addition she has taught adult education and specializes
in GED and basic literacy instruction.
She spent nine years working in Texas as a media director and served as the education policy consultant for a statewide adult literacy project. Zenger returned to South Carolina in 1990 to work on issues related to at-risk students and teacher education. Currently she teaches graduate reading courses and directs the Diverse Pathways Program, a Title II DOE funded project to enhance teacher education in South Carolina schools. |
