*USC and the College of Education require a score of two or higher on the foreign language proficiency exam. Students scoring lower than a two must successfully complete 6 semester hours of foreign language at the beginning level. (109 and 110 in Spanish, German, or French. 121 and 122 in Japanese, Chinese, or Russian)

Almost all of the courses in the degree requirements for the B.A. in Elementary Education have minimum grade requirements. Students should refer to the admission and progression requirements to determine the grade requirements necessary to progress in the program. Additionally, many of the courses have pre and/or co-requisites. It is the student's responsibility to consult the University's On-line Undergraduate Bulletin to determine pre-and co-requisites.

Please be reminded that exceptions to the B.A. degree requirements in elementary education must be submitted in writing to the Office of Student Affairs, and that until and unless a student has received a written response in the affirmative, the exception does not exist.
